Bone Broth

2-3 hours

1/2 gallon

Introduction

After cooking one of our pasture raised chickens, save the bones to make immune-boosting bone broth. Once you have enough bones (and vegetable scraps) to fill a pot, cook them in an Instant Pot. Bone broth has many health benefits and is very flavorful!

  1. Fill an Instant Pot about 3/4 of the way up with bones.

  5. Press the soup button on the Instant Pot and set to low pressure. Set the time for the max of 120 minutes. Repeat this cycle for 2 to 3 times.

  6. Let it cool and strain the juice from the bones.

  7. Poor into mason jars (leave a few inches at the top for it to expand) or plastic bags.
