Oven Roasted Chicken

Oven roasted chicken, easy and delicious. Simply season the chicken, toss in some vegetables, cook and enjoy! The mouth watering broth the chicken produces will keep you coming back for more.

Oven Roasted Chicken


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Pat the chicken dry using paper towels. 

  3. OPTIONAL: For a more even cook and to crip all of the skin, spatchcock the chicken (cut the backbone out and push the breast bone down).

  4. Add salt, pepper, and seasonings to chicken.

  5. Place the chicken in a 9x13 dish or Dutch oven then place in oven for 50-60 minutes or until the internal temperature reads 165 degrees on a thermometer.

  6. If the skin starts to burn, add foil over the chicken and continue to cook. 

  7. OPTIONAL: To make this a one pot dish, add chopped red potatoes and carrots.


  • 4-5 pound Purely Pastured Farm Whole Chicken

  • 1-2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspon pepper

  • 1 teaspoon Itailan sesoning or seasoning of your choice


  • 2 pounds red potatoes

  • 4-5 carrots
